Above, 2008 We anchored a 48"x48" white piece of silk for 28 days in the spring on the roof of our home and allowed whatever fell on the piece of silk to stain or mark it. Our home is surrounded by live oaks. Leaves, bird droppings, rain, and oak flowerings from an active spring covered the silk. The silk was not washed or cleaned.
